This outdoor school was started by a Paramedic, Wildland Firefighter, and expert backpacker (with successful thru-hikes of the AT, Colorado Trail, and thousands of miles of multi night backpacking trips across the US). I recognized the need for those who work, travel, and play in the rural and remote parts of the country to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to handle emergencies (or even better prevent them!). When help is hours or days away, when no one is coming, it is up to us.

I provide custom tailored trainings to meet your teams specific needs. Our most popular offerings are: Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, Map and Compass navigation, and Introduction to Backpacking/Back-country Travel.

All of our wilderness medical classes are taught in partnership with Base-Medical and meet or exceed the standards established by the wilderness medical society.
